Former Carlton star Corey Durdin marries Alexis Tripodi in lavish ‘wedding of the century’
Some of Carlton’s biggest past and present stars have reunited for what’s been dubbed the “wedding of the century” as former Blue Corey Durdin married Alexis Tripodi.
Carlton players, past and present, gathered to celebrate the marriage of Corey Durdin and Alexis Tripodi.
Dubbed “wedding of the century” on social media, Durdin who was just traded to Port Adelaide, exchanged vows at Barunah Plains in Hesse, Victoria.
A popular small forward, Durdin was joined by Blues players Harry McKay, Jacob Weitering, Adam Cerra, Zach Williams, Matt Cottrell and Jesse Motlop who was among the groomsmen.
Blue turned Saint Tom De Koning was also there, as was Bulldog Matt Kennedy and retired star Sam Docherty.
At one point Durdin was being carried on the shoulders of De Koning while singing and dancing.
The Durdins had a wedding planner, Sydney based Aimee Barton and a recovery party.
Alexis wore an off the shoulder white lace gown with a stunning long veil by Raffaele Ciuca Bridal.
“The best day of our lives,’’ she wrote.
Her sister Olivia called it wedding of the century.
The Blues have already celebrated Nic Newman’s wedding with Blake Acres to marry in the off-season as well.
Some of the others to say ‘I do’ this year include Bulldogs stars Marcus Bontempelli, Rory Lobb and Bailey Dale, Essendon’s Andrew McGrath and Peter Wright, Fremantle’s Andy Brayshaw, Sydney’s Tom Papley and Brisbane’s Bruce Reville.
