Couple's wedding day thrown into chaos after their car crashes
A Victorian bride, resplendent in her white gown, and smartly dressed groom, found themselves stranded by the roadside in Diamond Creek on Thursday when their wedding car crashed.
Few weddings go completely to plan but this one literally crashed.
A Victorian bride, resplendent in her white gown, and groom, found themselves stranded by the roadside in Diamond Creek on Thursday when their wedding car was involved in a collision with another vehicle near the Diamond Creek Road and Aqueduct Road intersection, just before 3pm.
One car was rolled, drawing a swift response from paramedics, who assessed the scene but fortunately did not need to provide emergency treatment or transport anyone to hospital.
The shaken bridal couple could be seen comforting each other on the side of the road while emergency crews cleared the scene.
But nothing can put a damper on true love, and it’s understood the nuptials proceeded, albeit fashionably late.
