Swimmers at a popular beach in Melbourne’s south east have been left startled after a body was discovered floating in the water on Sunday morning.
The yet to be formally identified person was found drifting in waters off Jetty Road in Sandringham just after 7am.
A Victoria police spokesperson said officers are investigating the incident, and have yet to establish a cause of death.
