Trampoline park chain Flip Out to open new centre in Newcomb, Geelong
A major Australian trampoline chain has arrived in Geelong, with a new 2400 sqm facility featuring ninja courses, giant slides and flying foxes set to open in the new year.
A hugely popular indoor play centre chain has arrived in Geelong, with the new facility set to open at a prime location early next year.
With successful centres across Australia in 25 locations, Flip Out Geelong is one of 12 new trampoline parks opening around the country.
The 2400 sqm Newcomb facility is located at 138-140 Bellarine Hwy – behind McDonald’s and KFC – and will feature giant slides, ninja courses, a flying fox, a “wipeout” activity, and indoor trampolines.
Flip Out Geelong owner Adam Missen said the countdown was on, with doors set to open to the public in early 2026.
“(Our) team is working like crazy to get ready,” he said.
“We’re just a few weeks from announcing the big opening date … it’s so close you can almost hear the trampolines calling.”
Mr Missen said the play centre would be recruiting staff in the coming weeks with positions to be advertised on social media.
“Expressions of interest drop very soon on Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok,” he said.
“We need Geelong’s happiest humans to join the Flip Out fun and deliver an amazing in venue experience.”
Kids of all ages can expect a slightly different experience at Flip Out Geelong compared to other centres across Australia, with a team of mascots introducing an additional interactive element.
“We’re one of the first arenas in Australia to unleash our epic Ninja Team; Max, Dash, Roo, Ref and Jet,” he said.
“They’re ready to high-five, cheer and turn every visit into a ninja adventure.”
The opening of the new trampoline park comes more than three years after Flip Out Australia lodged a planning application with the City of Greater Geelong to open in Newcomb.
The proposal stated the business would operate with 10 staff during “busier times”, opening from 9am daily, and closing at 9pm from Monday to Thursday, 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 7pm on Sunday and public holidays.
The website states individuals enter at their “own risk”, with all patrons expected to sign a safety waiver and all people under the age of 18 required to be supervised by a parent or guardian.
“Safety is of the utmost importance to Flip Out,” the company’s website states.
“Just like any active, fun and exciting activity, flipping out comes with some inherent risks.
“To minimise these risks, Flip Out enforces safety rules, conducts daily inspections of our equipment, and thoroughly trains every member of the Flip Out squad.”
