Townsville Biggest Raffle launches today with a multitude of prizes up for grabs and all funds raised helping those in need in North Queensland.
With a prize pool of more than $10,000 the raffle has 100 prizes with almost all donated by Townsville businesses.
The proceeds are being used to support the Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation.
Brighter Lives CEO Stefanie Naunton said the charity was thrilled to have so many local businesses come together to support Townsville’s Biggest Raffle.
“So 100 per cent of the funds from this raffle come back to brighter lives, and then 100 per cent of that stays in North Queensland to help us helping to enhance healthcare services and patient support within our community,” she said.
“
In the past two years, the North Queensland community has helped Brighter Lives donate over $2.5 million worth of equipment and projects to Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
“Some of the major projects include a $173,000 laser to treat children who have experience burns and scarring, a courtyard and garden for patients with cancer who require isolation, robot companion dogs for patients living with dementia and many toys to the children’s ward.”
She said the raffle had a diverse range of prizes.
“We’ve got so many prizes, so you have more chance to win a prize than win the lottery with us,” she said.
There are hamper packs, family passes to local attractions such as Billabong Sanctuary and the Barra Fun Park, 1 year’s swimming lessons, Gym memberships, dining vouchers at popular Townsville restaurants, gift hampers and shopping vouchers and Premium beauty and wellness packages.”
Tickets for Townsville’s Biggest Raffle are available now starting from $5 for one to 20 for $50 via the Brighter Lives website: https://www.brighterlives.org.au/ with the raffle closing and being drawn on May 19.
