Taking pets to cafes is a growing trend across Australia.
Why should pets miss out on an outing while their humans go dine out for brekky at the weekend or venture for a quick midweek coffee?
To find the best pet friendly cafe in Townsville, the Bulletin put out a call out on Facebook at the start of the week.
Judging by the many comments received, hundreds of people enjoy dining with their pooches and bonding over a puppucino.
Brooke Elliott recommended Tobruk Kiosk.
“They have many hugs for your dog, puppucinos, fruit ice blocks and a variety of doggie biscuits for your furry friend as well as great coffee for you and a beautiful view all at very cheap prices,” she said.
Yolanda General Store was another popular choice.
“Yolanda General Store (is) great after a walk around the river. Awesome baristas and great community vibe, and puppacinos too,” Drew Pemberton said.
