Two cases of alleged animal cruelty were mentioned in Townsville court
Two North Queensland residents have fronted court charged with alleged animal cruelty.

A Townsville woman has appeared in court after she was allegedly found to be mistreating animals.
Jay Leanne Watson fronted the Townsville Magistrates Court charged with seven alleged offences.
They were two counts of failing to provide appropriate living conditions, two counts of failing to provide appropriate treatment for injury, two counts of failing to take reasonable steps for the animal’s needs and one count of failing to provide appropriate food and water.
Ms Watson’s charges were adjourned to April 22.
In a separate alleged animal cruelty matter, Andrew Ive was charged with allegedly breaching duty of care to animals.
His matter was adjourned for mention on April 29.
