With the holiday season kicking off and Aussies itching to travel without breaking the bank, the jewel in Townsville’s crown has been named a not-to-be-missed spot.
Magnetic Island has been listed by online travel brand, Agoda, as the most affordable travel destination in Australia this summer.
With the cost of living skyrocketing this year, and travel being no exception, finding good value for money travel spots can be a challenge.
According to Agoda, Magnetic Island accommodation offers rooms as low as $106 per night and visitors to the island are spoiled for choice when it comes to coral reef, native animals and natural waterfalls in the summer months.
‘Maggie’ as it is affectionately referred to by the locals, is an outdoor lover’s paradise and an excellent tropical island escape for those on a budget.
Agoda’s Oceania Country Director, Zsuzsanna Janos said the company is committed to opening up the world to its customers, including those looking for the best bang for their buck
