A MIDDLE-aged man was assaulted and robbed in a violent home invasion at Currajong last night.
Just before 8pm on Saturday, police were called to a house in Gerard St, Currajong where a 45-year-old man had been attacked.
It’s understood two men wearing masks and armed with poles forced their way into the house.
The resident was assaulted in the ordeal, but the masked men fled after stealing some of his possessions.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said crews were called to the home to assess an injured man.
He was treated on scene for a cut to the back of his shoulder, but did not need further medical treatment and wasn’t taken to hospital.
A police spokeswoman said it was unclear whether it was a random or targeted attack, but police were investigating the incident.
