Police arrested three teenagers after stopping a stolen car by puncturing its tyres.
Townsville Police district duty officer Senior Sergeant Joe Matheson said a blue Ford Falcon was allegedly stolen from an address at Annandale about 2am today.
He said thieves entered the home by allegedly damaging the front door lock before stealing keys, mobile phones and wallets.
Senior Sgt Matheson said the stolen car was spotted driving around Mundingburra and Kirwan.
He said officers “successfully stung” the front tyres of the car on Nathan St.
The stolen car was found on Carcoola St in Cranbrook.
Police set up cordons and the dog squad were called.
As a result, three juveniles were arrested.
A 12-year-old boy along with a 13-year-old boy and girl were charged.
The latest stolen car incident comes 24 hours after a woman was rammed off the road sideways in Kirwan. Police investigations are continuing.
