As they raised their middle fingers in the air, defiant youths posed on social media with a stolen Audi linked to two burglaries in Townsville and boasted about showing others “how it’s done.”
Police are investigating after a white Q7 Audi wagon was stolen from an address on Bundock St, Belgian Gardens, between 10pm on Monday and 3am on Tuesday,
Since its theft, the stolen Audi has practically been on a criminal tour of Townsville, sighted across multiple suburbs including Pimlico, Burdell, Annandale, Douglas, Heatley, and the West End — all within a mere 24 hours on Tuesday.
The car was sighted at the scene of a burglary at Canoona Court, Annandale about 11.20am on Tuesday, where there was an attempted car theft.
Only minutes later, it was linked to a separate burglary at Zinnia Court, Annadale about 11.40am.
The vehicle remains outstanding and police investigations are continuing.
