Former Townsville church leader Michale Chandler, 29, was one of three women tragically killed in a car crash in Maryborough on Sunday.

Sheree Robertson, 52, a nurse from Maryborough Hospital and former Riverside Christian College student Kelsie Davies, 17, also died at the scene.

A 13-year-old boy who had allegedly been driving a stolen Mercedes-Benz has been charged over the incident.

Ms Chandler grew up in Townsville, attending Pimlico State High School and according to Facebook, worked at the Townsville City Church.

She eventually relocated to Fraser Coast where she had been working at Reach Church.

Ms Chandler had been made an accredited pastor alongside her husband Matthew a little over a year ago, and leaves behind two sons who will now grow up without their mother.

A GoFundMe campaign was recently launched by Townsville locals Ben Henaway and Andrew Zaro from Brothas Entertainment to help support her boys in the wake of her sudden death.

“Michale, her husband Matthew and two children were apart of our Townsville community for many years before relocating to Maryborough,” they wrote.

“As we know these times can be difficult and there will be many challenges moving forward for the Chandler family.

“Matthew and Reach Church Fraser Coast have agreed for the proceeds collected from this fundraiser to go directly into supporting their two children.

“We send our deepest condolences to the families and friends of Michale Chandler, Kelsie Davies and Sheree Robertson.

“We also pray for the strength and healing of Kaylah Behrens who is currently fighting for her life.”

It comes after family friend Ben Collingwood recently paid tribute to Ms Chandler.

“Michale was an incredible woman who inspired so many young people.

“She will be massively missed by her church community especially.”
