THE TEENAGER allegedly behind the wheel of a stolen car involved in the crash that killed Jennifer Board has returned to court.
Gregory Clubb, 18, was represented in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday by his lawyer Margaret Crowther who said she hoped to have the “file progressed to a point” by Clubb’s next appearance.
Clubb was allegedly driving a stolen Hyundai along Ross River Road when an alleged vigilante, Chris Hughes, rammed the car from behind.
Police allege Hughes was dangerously following Clubb at about 9.50pm on February 5, but lost control of his Holden Statesman and hit Jennifer Board who was riding her motorbike.
The 22-year-old was killed at the scene.
Hughes was charged with Ms Board’s murder.
The stolen car Clubb was allegedly driving was found dumped at Garbutt an hour after the fatal crash.
Clubb’s charges were adjourned to July 14 for mention.
He was remanded in custody.
