One Supercar fan will get the chance of a lifetime to work behind the scenes at the upcoming Townsville 400 and rub shoulders with the drivers and staff.
BP Australia has opened applications for ‘The Ultimate Day Job’ and ideally needs a fan with at least five years experience in Supercars obsession but would be willing to take on someone with less.
BP is looking for someone with strong communication skills, willingness to travel, the ability to juggle competing priorities and overwhelming excitement, but most importantly, fluency in Larko-isms will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be flown to Townsville for the race with one mate and will be expected to complete a range of gruelling responsibilities including meeting the drivers, surveying the media compound, prepping the podium, working at the car wash and ensuring each car is lined up correctly on the grid.
“The start of the 2020 season has already been a big one for the drivers and fans. We’re thrilled to make it even bigger by supporting BP’s announcement of The Ultimate Day Job,”
Supercars CEO Sean Seamer said.
“This is a rare chance for one of our fans to truly experience what happens behind the scenes
and help my team. The job will give any Supercars’ fan true bragging rights, and I look forward to seeing what the successful applicant will achieve.”
