Eager runners can get set with parkrun set to resume start again after months of delays because of COVID-19 restrictions.
The worldwide running event is hugely popular with more than 600,000 runners across the country taking on the clock over a 5km track.
In Townsville there are three parkrun tracks, including Riverway, Aplins Weir and North Shore.

The COVID-delayed Riverway parkrun is celebrating its 7th anniversary and to mark the occasion runners are encouraged to wear tutus.
Parkrun run director Pat Peacock said the return of the event tomorrow would likely result in up to 300 runners and walkers taking on the Riverway track, about 100 running along the Aplins Weir track and 50 along North Shore.
Mr Peacock said parkrun was making a “staged return” across the country to work with government standards.
“We are not the first ones to go back, Darwin was the first,” he said.
Parkrun suspended events on March 18 as a result of the global pandemic.
Mr Peacock urged runners to head to this weekend’s event at 6.45am for a COVID safety briefing before the 7am start.
