A set of WWII medals engraved with the name ‘C.J. Jones’ have left police scratching their heads, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to find their owner. Can you help?

A set of WWII medals engraved with the name ‘C.J. Jones’ have left police scratching their heads, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to find their owner.

One medal is a Pacific Star medal engraved with ‘QX9294’ and ‘C.J. Jones’.

Also found was a 1939-45 Star, Australian Service Medal 1939-1945 and a War Medal 1939-1945.

Police are hoping to reunite the medals with their rightful owner - proof of ownership will be required to collect them.

The medals were found in Strathpine.
