A 62-year-old man has been charged in relation to the death of 64-year-old Townsville truck driver Steve Bowen on the Bruce Highway last year.
The crash happened on November 25 at Julago, south of Townsville when two heavy vehicles collided, resulting in a B-double that remained on the roadside and a flatbed trailer which came to rest on an embankment just north of the Townsville crematorium.
The 62-year-old man, from West Mackay, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, use of mobile phones, false an misleading information and six charges of information required to be recorded immediately after starting work.
He is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on December 8.
