MULTIPLE crews will continue their search for missing 22-year-old man Ben Chisholm, after members of the public reported information to police.

Mr Chisholm has been missing since Wednesday, 13 July, at about 10am in Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island.

A Queensland Police spokesman in a statement said that following multiple reports from the public, Saturday’s search efforts would focus on the Arcadia area.

“Those reports include that Ben was last sighted heading towards the Arcadia walking trails around 11.30am on Wednesday, 13 July,” the spokesman said.

Multiple agencies including the State Emergency Service (SES), Rural Fire Service, Parks and Wildlife, and the QGAir Rescue 521 Helicopter, are today assisting police with the search.

“Investigators continue to urge Ben, or anyone with information on his whereabouts, to contact police,” the spokesman said.

UPDATE, Friday 8am: Police will resume a search for a man who went missing on Magnetic Island on Thursday.

Ben Chisholm, 22, was last seen at Nelly Bay at 10am.

He has not been in contact with his family since and they are concerned for his wellbeing.

A Queensland Police spokesman said State Emergency Services (SES) had been deployed to help local police in their search efforts.

The spokesman said crews were focused on looking around Magnetic Island.

The search will resume this morning.

BREAKING: Police are calling on the public to help them in their search for a missing man who was last seen at 10am in Nelly Bay yesterday.

The 22-year-old man, Ben Chisholm, has not been in contact with his family since then.

The behaviour is considered out of character by those close to him and his family have expressed concerns for his wellbeing.

Ben is described as caucasian in appearance, about 170cm tall, medium build and long, light-brown hair.

He was dressed in shorts and a dark green long-sleeved pull over. Investigators urge Ben, or anyone with information of his whereabouts, to contact police.
