A CHILD was taken to hospital with a gash to the face after they were cut with a knife last night.
Initial reports indicated paramedics were called to a private address at Kirwan about 6.10pm to reports a child was playing with a knife with their siblings when they received the gash.
It is believed the cut was accidental.
A spokeswoman from Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed crews were called, and took the child to Townsville University hospital in a stable condition.
