NDIS service provider Positive Possibilities clients devastated their rock trees are missing

A group of rock painting enthusiasts have been left upset after their masterful creation was pinched not once, but twice.

Owner of NDIS service provider Positive Possibilities, Abbie Richardson, said the group of young adults she has been helping had created two “rock trees” which were put on display near the pirate ship playground at Fairfield Water Lakes.

She said the group had spent upwards of 20 hours painting and decorating the stack of rocks.

The disappearance of the two rock trees caused great distress for Ms Richardson’s clients, who range in ages from 15 to 35.

“The first one lasted two weeks and the other one lasted one week,” Ms Richardson said.

“The girls put in a lot of time and effort. It’s just too disappointing (to have the rock trees disappear).”

Ms Richardson believed the colourful rock sculptures were largely appreciated by the public.

She plans on creating one more rock tree and putting it on display but will put in a more concerted effort to secure it.

“The support from the majority is what keeps us going,” she said.

“The activity of painting is therapeutic and then there is the community engagement. It’s a really good community.
