Man taken to hospital after horror crash at Coolbie on Bruce Highway
A man has been rushed to hospital with traumatic injuries after a horror crash on the Bruce Highway north of Townsville.

A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition with traumatic injuries following a crash on the Bruce Highway near Frosty Mango.
The 65-year-old male was travelling south on the Bruce Highway near Coolbie when his vehicle — a Holden Cruze — rolled about 7.15am.
It is understood the vehicle became airborne and crashed into a culvert.
The man was bleeding from the head and also sustained back and chest injuries.
The highway was temporarily closed in both directions as the QGAir rescue helicopter arrived to rush him to hospital about 7.45am.
The highway reopened at 7.55am and the Forensic Crash Unit along with multiple police crews remained on scene throught the morning.
The man remains in Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
