A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital after being bitten by a snake at a home in Ayr on Sunday night.

A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital after being bitten by a snake south of Townsville on Sunday night.
Paramedics were called to a private residence at Ayr after a reported snake bite at 8.14pm, the Queensland Ambulance Service reported.
The man was transported to Ayr Hospital in a stable condition.
