The Mad Cow Tavern are planning to help new James Cook University (JCU) students celebrate O week by having a memorable, yet safe weekend.
After speaking to many of their affiliated clubs at the university, it came to the tavern’s attention that many students found themselves stuck when searching for a way home from Flinders Street to their uni accommodation, after O week celebrations.
The Mad Cow Tavern have announced they will be providing free buses to and from town on the night of JCU’s Toga Night party, Friday February 16.
Mad Cow Tavern marketing director Crystal Vas said safety was a focus for the evening.
“Our top priority is making sure everyone has an epic time, in a safe environment, and then that they get home safely,” Ms Vas said.
Kinetic buses will run every half-hour to and from the university from 7:30pm until 3am, completely paid for by the Mad Cow Tavern.
