A swimming school which started up a decade ago which has since gone to teach more than 2000 swimmers is one of 10 schools nominated as the best in the city.
Kristie Love, owner of Love2Swim School, was excited to be nominated.
“I have been running Love2Swim School for over ten years and started as a small boutique swim school in my backyard to now running two aquatic centres in Townsville with over 2000 swimmers,” she said.
“One thing that has increased over the years is the amount of new swim schools popping up. Ten years ago there was only five and now there is around 15 schools to chose from. This is terrific as it gives families the choice for their child.”
The Townsville Bulletin put a call out to readers asking which swim school they believed was the best in the city. Hundreds of readers responded with 10 schools featuring prominently.
“It’s great that Townsville Bulletin is creating an opportunity for clients to give a shout out for their favourite swim school and teacher,” Ms Love said.
“This is also a great opportunity to give families a look at all the swim school choices you have.
“One thing all swim schools provide is a safe environment for your little person to learn a life skill.”
Voting for the best swim school closes at 5pm Sunday.
