Kelso house fire: Elderly woman assessed by paramedics after fire in bedroom

Emergency crews rushed to a house fire at Kelso this morning where paramedics assessed an elderly woman.

EMERGENCY crews rushed to a house fire at Kelso this morning where paramedics assessed an elderly woman.

Crews were called to the home on the corner of Miles Ave and Salina Dr about 8.30am.

On arrival, fire crews found a fire in one of the bedrooms and worked to put it out quickly.

A spokeswoman from QFES said crews were dampening down the scene.

Paramedics were also on scene where they assessed a woman in her 70s.
