A Julia Creek resident has more than three million reasons to smile this New Year, becoming a multi-millionaire – the only problem is, they have yet to claim their lotto ticket.

The resident is among four Queenslanders who have started 2023 with a bang, each scoring more than $3.3m in the weekend’s $40 million megadraw.

While there were 12 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4325, drawn on Saturday December 31, 2022 – with each division one winning entry pocketing $3,333,333.34.

The winning North Queensland ticket was purchased at Julia Creek News.

The newsagency, run by husband and wife Neil and Ellen Warner, is located at 42 Burke St, Julia Creek.

“No-one has gotten back to us yet”, Mr Warner revealed, with the New-Years Eve winner yet to claim the prize.

A The Lott spokesman confirmed the resident is yet to realise they’ve become a millionaire.

He encouraged those who bought an entry into the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw to check their tickets and call The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.

The winner has seven years to claim the prize, he added, and if the money isn’t claimed it will be placed in bonus draws, or given out as contributions to the community.

The winning numbers in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4325 were 11, 23, 42, 20 and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 38.
