It was a night of celebration, connection and reflection as James Cook University marked a major milestone.
Guests gathered for a special cocktail event at Flinders Lane to celebrate 25 years since the founding of JCU’s medical school.
The evening brought together alumni, students, staff and supporters to honour the journey of a program that has transformed healthcare across northern Queensland.
Stories were shared, achievements were recognised, and memories were made as the JCU community looked back on a proud legacy.
Since welcoming its first cohort in 2000, the JCU medical program has graduated more than 3000 doctors, many of whom now work in regional, rural and remote communities.
The event was a highlight of a weekend of anniversary activities including a symposium, student showcases and alumni panels.
It was a fitting tribute to a program built on purpose and a toast to the next 25 years.
