Four youths have been arrested after they allegedly ran from a stolen car across a football field in Townsville.

POLICE have taken four ‘youths’ into custody on Saturday afternoon after they allegedly dumped a stolen car at Bushland Beach.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Police said members of the public reported at 12.30pm seeing an allegedly stolen vehicle driving erattically before a number of people jumped out of the car and ran across a football field.
It is then alleged the four stole another vehicle which they drove towards Burdell before being arrested by police.
The spokeswoman confirmed at 1pm four people were in custody, however their ages were still unknown.
