FORMER Cowboys coach Paul Green and his family are pulling up stumps, listing their Castle Hill mansion for sale this week.
The premiership-winning coach parted ways with the Cowboys in July 2020 and for the last six months has been weighing up his NRL career options.
On Friday, he said it was time for his family to move back to Brisbane after seven years in Townsville and put the four-bedroom fully renovated home on the market.

“It is pretty tough to move and tough on the family,” Mr Green said.
“It is a house my kids have lived in most of their life.
“It was our first house as a family.”
After buying the home in 2013, the couple had plans drawn up and moved out to let the builders in to “have a crack”.
The transformation added a new entertainment extension and turned the house into a modern easy-living family home.
His wife Amanda put a lot of time and effort into the home and was the brains behind the interior decoration.
“A lot of the styling is her inspiration,” Mr Green said. “I can’t claim much credit for that.”
The home sits in one of Castle Hill’s best streets with views over Herveys Range, Mount Louisa, Cape Pallarenda and Magnetic Island.
One of the other pluses, and a rarity on Castle Hill, is the home has a flat yard.
Listing agent Julie Mahoney said the property represented rare value.
“I believe it is a very, very rare offering into the marketplace because it offers flat land, parkland and entertainment and great carparking,” she said. “It’s also in a really great community of young families that just use the parks in a traditional sense.”
Ms Mahoney said the house would be put to auction.
And for those wondering whether Paul Green’s name on the owners’ list enhances the property’s value, Ms Mahoney said people in the pricing demographic knew what they wanted.
“As much as they’re a well-respected family, the fact they chose that spot for their family is because it met their family values,” she said.
The Greens’ move back to Brisbane won’t dampen the media speculation that Mr Green will be in the box seat for the Queensland State of Origin coaching gig.
When asked about the role, he took his time before responding: “Origin, for me, has always been an ambition at some stage of my coaching career.
“If I’m lucky enough to get a go, that would be good.”
