A woman driving a car with two children inside had a lucky escape after trying to drive through floodwater which cut the car’s engine out.
Firefighters needed to push the car out of the water, which a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said was about 20cm deep.
The spokeswoman said the driver attempted to drive through water running over the road before the car cut out.
The woman and children were rescued from Greta Rd, Oak Valley about 10am Monday.

In Annandale a truck got stuck in flash flooding and needed to be winched out by a tradie.
More than 30mm of rain was recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology in the area over a 24 period until 9am.
Rainfall totals between 20mm to 60mm were recorded across Townsville since 9am Sunday, with heavier rainfall of between 72mm to 113mm nearer to the coastal areas north of the city.
Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast to continue during Monday and for the next few days, which may result in renewed rises.
Flooding is expected to ease in the Bohle River, Black River and Bluewater Creek catchments.
