Delays expected as truck flips on Bruce Highway at Stuart, Townsville

Motorists are being warned to expect lengthy delays after a large truck hauling containers of soil flipped on the Bruce Highway south of Townsville.

Motorists are being warned to expect lengthy delays after a large truck hauling containers of soil flipped on the Bruce Highway south of Townsville.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a single-truck roll over near the intersection of the Bruce Hwy and Zinc Rd in Stuart about 4.35pm on Saturday.

Paramedics have transported one male patient with minor injuries to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.

Its understood the crash has blocked the northbound lane of the highway and is expected to cause lengthy delays until the scene is cleared.

Four heavy recovery vehicles were proceeding to the crash at 6pm.

Police and Fire and Emergency crews were also on scene.
