Police are investigating the cause of a fire which completely tore through a home in a small North Queensland town.

Police are investigating the cause of a fire which completely tore through a home in a small North Queensland town.
Emergency services, including Queensland Fire and Emergency Service, Queensland Ambulance Service, and Queensland Police Service rushed to the property on Rutherford and Mary Sts, Charters Towers, at about 2.31pm.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said multiple calls had been made reporting the blaze.
Three fire crews were on scene battling the fire, and a part of the building suffered a structural collapse.
A QAS spokeswoman confirmed the house was “completely ablaze, and that a crew had remained on standby at the scene.
QPS were also on the scene, and it is not yet known if the home was occupied at the time the fire began.
A QPS spokeswoman on Sunday confirmed police were conducting investigations into the blaze, as the cause of the fire was unknown.
