Building a bridge for pathways for veterans and their families with potential employers is the keystone for a Career Connections Showcase at Oasis Townsville this week.
The organisation’s Executive Leader Angie Barsby said the showcase highlighted the importance helping veterans through community collaboration.
“The Career Connections Showcase is a testament to our commitment to helping Veterans and their families thrive in civilian careers,” she said.
“We are proud to bring together employers and organisations that recognise the incredible value and potential of the veteran community.”
Participants at the showcase will be able to network with Veterans Business Alliance (VBA) members and other employers and learn directly from VBA members, where businesses highlight their future opportunities and commitment to veteran employment.
Mrs Barsby said the showcase built a bridge between the veteran community and meaningful careers.
“Through the incredible support of the VBA members, we’re able to connect talented individuals with employers who truly value their unique skills and experiences.
“It’s a privilege to help facilitate these connections and witness first-hand the transformative impact they have on veterans, their partners and their families.”
“This showcase is an invaluable opportunity for Veterans and their families to explore pathways to meaningful employment while connecting with a supportive network of peers and professionals,” she said.
