Car left torched in storm drain after thieves hit Vincent

A gobsmacked resident in Vincent woke up to find intruders had stolen two of their cars, dumping one in a drain and setting it ablaze.
Police are investigating after a home was broken into on Dacosta Ct, Vincent between midnight and 4am on Monday.
Thieves took off after stealing two cars — a Honda CRV and Mazda 2 — from the address.
The Honda CRV was located on fire a short time later in the drain along Woolcock St in Hyde Park about 5.23am.
A few hours later the Mazda 2 was also located dumped and damaged along the Dalrymple Service Rd in Kirwan about 9.30am.
Police said investigations into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.
