Car crashes into pole on Angus Smith Dr, Douglas

Paramedics are on scene at a crash where a car ploughed into a power pole this morning.

A CAR has ploughed into a power pole on a busy road this morning.

Paramedics and police were called to Angus Smith Dr just before 10.30am to reports a car hit a traffic light pole underneath the Ring Road Bridge near Townsville University Hospital.

A spokesman from Queensland Ambulance Service said the patient was out of the vehicle.

Ambulances were blocking traffic along Angus Smith Dr while they worked at the crash.
