A hole-in-the-wall is delivering a new coffee culture in Townsville.
Family-owned clothes boutique Axell Rose in Gregory St opened the fashion side of the business in November but launched the boutique coffee window two weeks ago.
David Reguson, his wife Dianne and daughter Lily all operate the shop that takes inspiration from Melbourne fashion and lifestyle.
Mr Reguson said the hole-in-the-wall was a nice complement for the shop.
“It is something we saw frequently in Melbourne and then the idea of a boutique came up, then I thought we should do a coffee window because I love my coffee,” he said.
“People have reacted and responded nicely to it.”
Axell Rose serves coffee produced on the Sunshine Coast by coffee roaster Tim Adams.
“I wanted to be different to every other coffee shop in Townsville and serve a new blend of coffee,” he said.
Mr Reguson said he was still putting the finishing touches on the window that would be finished in the coming weeks.
The Axell Rose boutique coffee window is open seven days a week, 6am-12pm
