Townsville traffic crash: Motorcyclist injured outside Kelso State School

A motorcyclist has been injured in a nasty crash in Townsville on Friday morning.

A motorcyclist has been injured in a nasty accident in Kelso on Friday morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed a man in his 50s had sustained injuries in the accident on Yvette Street outside Kelso State School at 8.07am.

A QAS spokeswoman said the extent of the injures were not yet known.

The Queensland Fire Department is still on scene.

QAS said the man had been transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.

In a separate incident, a second male motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a vehicle in the vicinity of Charles Street and Fulham Road near Heatley State School at 9.49am.

QAS said he suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mater Private Hospital Townsville in a stable condition.
