Plenty of big names have got off to hot start across the Geelong season.
No-one has had a better opening two rounds with the bat than Lara’s Jason Hewitt, who has hit 171 runs — a hundred and a half century — in his two knocks in GCA2 first grade.
GCA1 first grade runscorers Andrew Casey, Jordan Moran and Shane McNamara aren’t far behind him.

In the bowling, Grovedale paceman Jack Wrigglesworth has the most wickets to his name of all players in the GCA and BPCA competitions with seven, including a haul of 4/28.
His teammate Rohan Smith has six wickets to his name, along with several others in GCA first grade.
Waurn Ponds Deakin keeper Harrison Haynes has the most catches with four to go with a stumping. while Jonathan Casey of St Joseph’s has two run-outs and two catches.
Many grades across the GCA and BPCA have only played the one game but that hasn’t stopped them putting up some big numbers, including Surf Coast bowler Jason Hutchieson’s 6/13 in the BPCA C Trewin Shield
