Toowoomba’s only frozen yoghurt bar Sista Swirl sells out in three days
Toowoomba has gone crazy for froyo, with the first ever frozen yoghurt bar selling out only 72 hours after opening its doors. Here’s when they’ll be back up and running.
Only three days into operation, Sista Swirl – Toowoomba’s first and only frozen yoghurt bar – has already sold out of product.
“Apologies! We’ve had the best turn out for our opening weekend and have greeted most of Toowoomba through the doors and have run dry on product!” the post read.
“We will use this day to restock everything including your favourite flavours.
“We will be fully restocked and ready for you to come any of the 7 days next week.”
The post also advised eager customers slight changes to operations were incoming to ensure a smoother process going forward.
Store owner Aaliyah Wicks, 22, opened Sista Swirl on Thursday, realising a long-held career goal.
“My own business was my dream and frozen yoghurt was my opportunity,” Ms Wicks told the Chronicle.
“I am a frozen yoghurt lover … most of my friends and family told me they would drive to Brisbane just to get frozen yoghurt.
“So I started deep diving from there, I saw an opportunity because Toowoomba doesn’t have any, until now.”
Toowoomba residents were buzzing with excitement on social media at the news of Toowoomba’s first frozen yoghurt bar.
“Yah! About time,” one commenter wrote.
“(I) will be supporting. Good on her for bringing fresh ideas to Toowoomba,” another said.
“Tried some yesterday and it was yum, can’t wait to see you kick goals,” one resident posted.
Sista Swirl is located at 430 Ruthven St, Toowoomba City, near the People First Bank building.
