A man has suffered injuries after the car he was in crashed into a tree on a rural road outside Toowoomba on Sunday.

Paramedics, police and fire crews were alerted to the crash on Toowoomba Karara Road, just north of Clifton Leyburn Road, at Ellangowan about 7.30am.

Initial reports had suggested two people were in the car, but the man was later determined to be the only occupant.

He was treated for a hand injury and taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

A young boy was among three people rushed to hospital after a car collided with a tree north of Toowoomba on Friday night.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Kuhls Road in Highfields just before 7pm.

The male toddler was treated for neck and head injuries, while a woman in her 20s suffered chest and leg injuries.

Another person injured their hand in the incident.

All three patients were taken to Toowoomba Hospital in stable conditions.

Darling Downs Health confirmed the toddler has since been released from hospital after receiving treatment.

A motorcycle rider has been taken to hospital after he collided with a car in Toowoomba’s western suburbs on Friday.

The incident was reported on Boundary Street in Gowrie Junction just before 4.30pm.

The man in his 50s was treated for minor injuries and taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
