Toowoomba Airport rescue: Plane believed to have left runway
Emergency services have confirmed they are responding to a “technical rescue” at the Toowoomba Airport. Here’s what we know so far.

A technical rescue is under way at the Toowoomba Airport after a plane crashed.
Emergency services responded to the incident on Spitfire Lane at 9am on Wednesday.
It is believed a wheel has come off the plane as it was landing.
Three Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews were scene.
Anzac Avenue QFES Station Officer Shane Rankin said the pilot was safe, with no injuries reported
“When we arrived at the incident at the northern end of Greenwattle Street we located a single propeller aircraft
“The pilot was coming into land and had some kind of failure with his landing gear.
“He is very lucky, there was some minor damage to the aircraft but no injuries.
The airport authority was in attendance and further investigations will follow.”
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics assessed the pilot at the scene.
