Tom Nolan signs two-year deal with US management company Ruby Sports & Entertainment

The 21-year-old MMA fighter has his sights on the UFC and signing with US-based Ruby Sports & Entertainment is a big step toward that goal.

The burgeoning career of Toowoomba MMA fighter Tom Nolan has taken another giant leap with the 21-year-old signing with American based management company Ruby Sports & Entertainment.

Ruby Sports & Entertainment is one of the biggest management groups in the world of UFC and has some 45 UFC fighters on its books including UFC world interim world bantamweight champion Petr Yan.

Nolan was contacted by Ruby Sports & Entertainment after his MMA lightweight bout against the experienced Trevor Sinclair on the Gold Coast last month which was livestreamed around the world.

That bout, which Nolan won on points, was voted the fight of the night and has so far been viewed more than one million times around the world.

“I’ve signed a two-year deal with Ruby Sports and they will be setting up all my deals and promotions,” Nolan said.

“It’s a major step to sign with them because they are one of the biggest management teams in the world and they have a lot of fighters on their books including Petr Yan who is the best in the world.”

Nolan has made no secret of the fact he wants to one day make it to the UFC and fight in the United States and this contract will go a long way to him achieving that goal.

“I do hope to fight in the States one day and this is the way to do it,” he said.

“It can be a bit difficult doing it from Australia.”

Ruby Sports & Entertainment agent Remington Steele, who is based in the US, will represent Nolan over the two years of this contract.

Nolan said there were negotiations “in the pipeline” for his next bout in early 2022 which he intended making a big year in his journey to the UFC.
