The Better Movement Clinic goes into administration, set to be liquidated

A highly respected Darling Downs health business will be liquidated after it was placed in administration.

The Better Movement Clinic has been placed in administration and will be liquidated.

Worrells was appointed to investigate the company to see what, if any money, can be returned to its creditors.

Staff were told of the business’ closure in an email last week, and the Better Movement website has since been taken down.

A spokesman for Worrells declined to comment about the investigation, other than to say it is ongoing.

It is understood the company has significant debts to its creditors

The Better Movement Clinic opened in 2013, providing exercise physiology services.

In the years that followed it expanded its services to include physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetics,

remedial massage therapy, exercise science and allied health.

In 2021 it won the Best Regional Business Award at the Toowoomba Business Excellence Awards.

Supported by the Toowoomba Surat Basin Enterprise, the company launched two mobile clinics that provided physio care to clients on the Western Downs.

Members met on May 15 and agreed to liquidate the company.

Company director John Dennehy was contacted for comment.
