A 15-year-old boy has been denied bail after he allegedly raped a woman.
The offence is alleged to have occurred on Friday night as the woman was walking home after a shift at a licenced venue in Toowoomba’s CBD.
Police arrested the boy a short time later and held him in custody over the weekend to face the Toowoomba Childrens Court on Monday.
Defence solicitor Paige Heatherington of Skuse Graham Lawyers made an application for bail that was rejected by Magistrate Clare Kelly.
The boy’s case was adjourned to February 8.
After the hearing the boy’s mother caused a disruption in the courthouse foyer.
