Queensland Fire Department personnel are working to contain a fire that has taken hold in vegetation northeast of Jondaryan.

Four crews were called in the incident about 2pm on Wednesday.

They arrived to find a vehicle that was completely burnt out.

Investigations are under way to determine if the vehicle’s destruction was caused by the grass fire, if it sparked the grass fire, or is unrelated.

The crews are working to extinguish the fire on the western side of McKays Rd.
