Police are searching for thieves who stole and torched a Toyota Corolla after it was dumped in Harlaxton.

Police are investigating after a stolen car was torched in Harlaxton.

Emergency services were called just after 5am on Friday to reports a car was on fire near the corner of Buchanan Street and North Street.

The fire was extinguished by emergency services.

The car, a red Toyota Corolla, was reportedly owned by a local business and was stolen from Newtown on October 15.

Any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
