Police charge Benjimin Brett Waters two years after Blake Riley’s corpse found at Preston lookout
Almost two years after Blake Riley was found dead at a Preston lookout, detectives have charged a second person with interfering with a corpse.

Gatton detectives have charged a second person with interfering with a corpse almost two years after Blake Riley’s body was found dumped at a Toowoomba lookout.
Police arrested 37-year-old Cherry Creek man Benjimin Brett Waters at the weekend and charged him with one count of misconduct with a corpse by interfering.
He was held in custody overnight and faced Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday where his lawyers applied for bail.
Police prosecutor Cameron Frances opposed bail citing Mr Waters’ risk of reoffending and his history of drug use.
Bail was denied and Mr Waters was remanded in custody until January 9.
He was not required to enter a plea.
Ms Sinclair has always maintained her innocence and posted a moving tribute to Mr Riley just a day before she was arrested and charged with misconduct with a corpse by interfering and a dozen drug offences.
Mr Riley’s body was located in bushland at Preston on January 7, 2021 and police determined his death to be non-suspicious, however it was further alleged his body was moved from a private residence in Toowoomba to this location on January 5 or 6.
Both Ms Sinclair and Mr Waters were known to Mr Riley.
