A 28-year-old mother of two on the medical cannabis program stockpiled her supply and used it to make cash, in a case unlike any a Toowoomba magistrate has seen.

A Toowoomba mother of two who stockpiled her prescribed medical cannabis and sold it to others for cash has been handed a sizeable fine.
Police raided Peta Joyce Ellise Seckold’s Wilsonton Heights home on the morning of June 25 and found a number of packaged cannabis bags on the table, Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard.
Prosecutor Chris Willson said clip seal bags for packaging the drug and scales for weighing it were also seized.
Officers found was $1187 cash during the search, which Seckold claimed was given to her by her mother.
However, an inspection of her phone showed Seckold had messages relating to cannabis deals on March 3, April 5, June 3, June 23, June 24 and June 31.
The 28-year-old admitted to police she had sold some cannabis in $25 and $50 lots, the court heard.
Seckold pleaded guilty to six counts of supplying a dangerous drug, possessing drug utensils and possessing money suspected as being proceeds of drug sales.
Duty solicitor Nikola Prince told the court Seckold had since undergone counselling.
Magistrate Kay Ryan said it was the first time she had seen medical cannabis being onsold and fined Seckold $1200 which was referred to SPER for payment.
