Park Waves, Sunburnt Country music festivals to hit Toowoomba in 2026, featuring Parkway Drive and Jason Aldean

Metal icons Parkway Drive and country superstar Jason Aldean will be headlining new festivals that are both hitting Toowoomba in 2026, offering very different experiences. Details here.

Toowoomba country and metal fans will be treated to a double delight of live music in 2026, with festivals Park Waves and Sunburnt Country coming to the Garden City.

Queens Park will be filled to the brim with residents across two massive weekends in February and March as the two touring events pass through Toowoomba.

Sunburnt Country hits town on February 21 and will be headlined by US country star Jason Aldean, who has been a Nashville mainstay for 20 years and is known for hits like She’s Country, Amarillo Sky and Tonight Looks Good on You.

The festival, which has been promoted as “Australia’s newest country music experience”, also includes US rocker Corey Kent as well as Aussies Brad Cox (who headlines the State of Origin entertainment this week), Dear Tommie and YOGA.

“Nashville superstar Jason Aldean is heading down under and headlining these huge outdoor shows in Toowoomba, Hunter Valley and Canberra as part of his Full Throttle Tour,” the website said.

The run of shows are Aldean’s first in Australia and New Zealand since 2016.

Tickets are now on sale here.

Park Waves, which is slated for March 12, is the new vehicle for Australian metal icons and will likely feature Parkway Drive.

The band, which has been one of Australia’s biggest musical exports this century, is expected to bring a bill stacked with major national metal acts.

The announcements come just a few weeks after Red Hot Summer revealed it was bringing Australian music legends Crowded House to Queens Park for a massive concert in November.

The November 15 show in Toowoomba marks the first time Red Hot Summer has returned to our region since March 2024.

The enduring group will be joined by top acts like Angus and Julia Stone, The Church, Mark Seymour (of Hunters and Collectors) with Vika and Linda, and The Waifs.
