A heartbroken community will grieve the deep loss of a beloved Toowoomba woman, mother and friend after her devastating death in April this year.

On Thursday morning, Toowoomba mother Louise Griffiths will be farewelled at Humeridge Church of Christ in Kearney Spring in a ceremony attended by family, friends and community.

Louise was known to her community as a crusader for women and children forced to endure domestic violence, and was a proud supporter of Toowoomba’s Protea Place.

Members of Louise’s family business, TUFF Australia, invited those who knew Louise come together and celebrate her life.

“On Thursday 15th May, we’ll gather to celebrate someone who brought so much light, joy and heart to the TUFF family and the Toowoomba community, our beautiful Louise Griffiths – or as many of us knew her: Weezi,” a statement read.

“There’s so much we could say, but if you knew Weezi, even for a moment, you’ll know she was the kind of person who made you feel seen.

“The kind who would walk into a room and somehow make it warmer.

“The kind of soul who gave so much to others, without ever needing the spotlight.

“Forever remembered, and always in our hearts.”

Speaking to Nine News on Tuesday about his beloved sister, Louise’s brother, Anton Griffiths said she was a dedicated mother and caring friend.

“She just loved to smile and laugh and make everyone’s day,” he told Nine News.

“She always made you feel like you mattered and she always made time for you.”

Louise was allegedly killed in a domestic violence attack in April this year.

“No mother should have to bury her daughter,” Mr Griffiths told Nine News.

Friend and fellow domestic violence prevention advocate Amanda Dalton remembered Louise as a happy, kind-natured woman.

“She absolutely lived for her children and her family,” she said previously.

“They were her everything and will always be her everything.

“She was such a caring person.”

Louise’s family requested offers of funds be directed to Protea Place, an organisation close to Louise’s heart.

“In honour of Louise’s legacy and her passion for supporting women, her family have asked that those wishing to donate consider Protea Place,” a TUFF Australia statement read.

Donations can be made at https://rememberinglouise.gofundraise.com.au/

Her funeral service will begin at 10.30am.

Those attending were asked to dress in bright colours in Louise’s honour.
